HISPANIC LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE-WEST
The Hispanic Leadership Institute-West (HLI-West) enters its 8th year of building the next generation of Latino leaders in the West Valley. Participation in HLI-West is a competitive application process and is open to all individuals of diverse backgrounds. Applications are due September 1, 2011.
HLI-West was founded, in 2004, as a partnership between Valle del Sol, the Hispanic Leadership Forum and Estrella Mountain Community College.
HLI-West, a 10-week program held at Estrella Community College, offers participants the opportunity to engage Arizona’s foremost business and policy authorities in a continuing dialogue about leadership and our Latino communities. Sessions begin on September 21, 2011 and focus on issues impacting the Latino community in the West Valley with topics ranging from education, government, public safety as well as cultural and personal identity, media relations and board service.
