HISPANIC LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE-YUMA COUNTY
Valle del Sol has expanded its Hispanic Leadership Institute’s (HLI) program into Yuma County with the inaugural class starting on October 6, 2011.
“HLI-Yuma County will train individuals of diverse backgrounds, foster civic engagement, and assist participants to realize their fullest potential as community leaders,” says Honorable Lenore Loroña Stuart, Yuma County Supervisor.
HLI-Yuma County is a partnership between Valle del Sol and the Yuma Private Industry Council and will promote the individual development of Hispanics for increased participation in leadership roles and will enhance and serve as a principal education and networking resource for expertise and advocacy on leadership issues affecting Latino communities.
Supporting these efforts are APS as the Premier Sponsor, YPIC as Community Partner, ASU’s Bob Ramsey Executive Education Program as Educational Partner, and Southwest Gas Corporation as a Contributing Sponsor.
